
I developed a campaign to spread awareness about my company The R Cards. This idea was generated after my previous flyers were stolen/taken down around the University of Kansas campus.
THE ASK

Develop a campaign that will generate buzz about my card brand The R Cards that would attract attention from college students. With so many flyers plastered around campus, I had to make something simple, funny and appealing.
It also has to be on budget, like zero dollars budget.
THE INSIGHT
Simply, people like free stuff. So I knew creating a challenge based on that would be a great way to get my products into the hands of potential consumers as well as boosting awareness for the brand overall.
THE PLATFORM/STRATEGY
So I created the "Steal this Flyer" Challenge, a scavenger hunt type challenge where students were encouraged to steal the flyers and return them back to me in exchange for a free R Card.
The challenge was simple. After placing the flyers throughout campus, I made a post on Instagram telling students to start looking for them. After someone found the flyer they're instructed to take a picture of the flyer, then DM us on Instagram telling us they stole our flyer.
I then asked the "thieves" where they found the flyer and which card they wanted. We then set up a meeting time to film the exchange.
THE RESULTS
My follower count increased with each stolen flyer. Some of the participants also encouraged their friends to follow our Instagram page.

THE TAKEAWAY
It doesn't take much to create an effective campaign. I made this campaign with no budget and was able to reach potential customers and spread brand awareness across campus.
